Board announces new interim CEO Print E-mail
Wednesday, 03 May 2006

The MCDH Board of Directors announced today their selection of an interim CEO, who will begin work next week.

The official announcement, sent out by e-mail to local public lists, reads:

After a thorough search and interview process, the MCDH Board of Directors selected an Interim CEO on May 2, 2006.   He is Mr. Jonathan W. Baker, MBA, LCHE, and he is expected to arrive on May 8, 2006.

Mr. Baker comes to the coast from Sonora, California.  He has extensive experience, both in California and nationally, with small rural hospitals, including District and Critical Access Hospitals.  Mr. Baker is a Diplomat of the American College of Health Care Administrators and is Board Certified in Healthcare Management.

The Board conducted telephone interviews with five candidates and invited two for a personal visit.  The resumes of our four top candidates were sent to Cal Mortgage for review before the Board finalized its decision.  The Board contacted, or was contacted by, a number of management companies and executive placement companies during its search for an Interim CEO.  The Board spoke with each of them and reviewed around 30 resumes before making its choice.
